Profits Will Go To The Lincoln Backpack Program

This was in my email box.

What started out as a thing
soon became a challenge
and now....
it's a ride of passion.

5 DAYS
500 MILES
Extreme Individuals
Extreme Miles
Extreme Fun

When: Friday, June 27 through Tuesday, July 1, 2008
Starting Point: Cooper YMCA Parking Lot
Leave time: 6:30 a.m.
Mileage: 100 miles a day for 5 straight days
Route: TBD by weather
What it is: A bike ride. An accomplishment.
Lot's of fun!
What is the Pace? Pace is yours.
What it isn't: A race. No medals. No trophy's. No cash prizes.

Do you have to ride all 5 days? Nope. You can ride one (1) day, two (2) days, three (3) days, four (4) days, or all five (5) days. It's your ride, your challenge, your passion.

What about SAG? You are at your own mercy. You are responsible for your own wake up call, energy, drinks, eats, injuries, phone calls and flats. The ride organizers are not responsible for any accidents, injuries, bad attitudes or sore muscles.

Where will we ride to? Several 100 mile routes are in the planning process. One will be designated based upon the weather forecast for that morning. We will start and end in the same place: Cooper YMCA parking lot. Please park in the back row on the south side.

Can I use the YMCA facilities? You can use the YMCA facilities for bathroom only. If you choose to lift weights, take a group exercie class, use the elliptical swim laps, or shower, etc., you must be a member or pay a fee for use.
