Happy and safe 4th!

There is also a gravel ride tonight starting at 7pm from S.27th & Hwy2. This is a non racer ride out to the Roca Tavern in Roca on the Jamaica trail. Bring lights and bug spray.

These rides appear to have a common theme of consuming huge amounts of calories at the turn and keeping the pace enjoyable.

4th Of July Road Ride

Okay Everyone,
The time for the third annual 4th of July Bike-N-Breakfast ride to
Seward is quickly approaching.

The Time : 7:00AM July 4th
The location: Meet at The Mill coffee house in the Haymarket
The Ride: We will ride out to the firehouse in Seward and then back.


This will be a relaxing pace, no hammers allowed. You hammer, you buy
for everyone. We will end up at the firehouse in Seward where they have an
annual free will donation pancake feed. There we will gorge ourselves then
we can hang out, ride back, do whatever. Ride time should be around an hour
and a half to get out there.

Hope to see everyone there.

South Capitol Biketacular & the Capital City Criterium!

Saturday, May 30 South of the State Capitol - Goodhue Boulevard

What is biketacular? The perfect way to spend the day!

Kids will enjoy the bike rodeo that includes an inspection, safety training, and skill training. They'll also get to decorate their bikes and ride in a bike parade.

Adults can learn about bike maintenance with experts from local shop Bike Pedalers and they can get tips for safe and efficient bike commuting.

Everyone will enjoy a full day of racing as the Capitol Criterium returns with pro and semi-pro racing.

Bike-related prizes will be given to kids who complete all of the stations and to those who participate in the parade and race in the kids race.

Two lucky kids will win new bikes. 9-11 Adult races 10-2 events at McPhee Elementary. Also:

  • bike maintenance station
  • bike rodeo
  • bike decorating
  • information tables
  • food!
